Kumawood Actor and Television Host, Akwasi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto has revealed why he took advice to stay away from acting movies alongside Agya Koo.

According to the “Real News” host on UTV, when he was coming up as an actor in the industry, Agya Koo was a force to be reckoned with in the Kumawood movie space.

In a recent interview on Peace FM, the award-winning actor explained that when he was scouted by owner of Miracle Films Kwasi Nyamekye, Agya Koo was already on top of his game, hence, he was advised not to star in movies alongside Agya Koo.

I was advised against acting with Agya Koo because of his influence and might in the movie industry. We called him [Agya Koo] ‘King Kong’ in Kumasi, if he was not in a movie, nobody will buy the movie. I would not hide the name of the advisor, he’s our very own Miracle, Kwasi Nyamekye. He brought up Agya Koo and many other talented actors. He acknowledged my talent and told me that I would not be recognized for my talent if I continue acting with Agya Koo because he would always outshine me,” he explained in the interview.

Akrobeto also acknowledged the role Agya Koo played in his acting career. He thanked him for paving the way and giving him the opportunity to also shine.

“Agya Koo was a force to be reckoned with in the movie scene. He paved the way for me to become an actor. I will always heap praises on his name wherever I go. When I bought my two cars after my acting success…When I bought my first car, a KIA Sportage, I drove to his house to show him my new car and express my gratitude to him. Same happened when I bought my Venza,” he stated.

The show boasted an all-star lineup, including headliner Davido, Uncle Waffles, Tokischa, Donavan’s Yard, and NLE Choppa.
