Watch: Dancer turned musician Doupboy Laska talks about his upcoming EP ‘Kwashieman to Capetown’



Dancer turned musician Doupboy Laska says his debut EP Kwashieman to Capetown will be out in April this year.

The South Africa based Ghanaian Afrobeat, Reggae/dancehall artiste in an interview with Ameyaw Debrah on the Ameyawmeets show stated that the project will tell the story of his musical journey. According to him, the EP is a mixture of dancehall and Afrobeats.

On making music in South Africa as a Ghanaian, Doupboy revealed “it’s a bit challenging because you have to get the Ghana vibe because i love Ghana vibe. before i record, i try to link with the Ghanaian stuff going on and fuse it with the dancehall but it’s a bit challenging”  he said.

Doupboy Laska hopes to collaborate with Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Kelvyn Boy. he’s currently promoting his new single titled Ghana Kenkey
