Sound engineer and music producer, Ronald Banful, popularly called Guilty Beatz, has revealed that his parents did not understand his chosen profession – music production.

In an interview with JoyNews MzGee, the music producer Guilty Beatz, known for the song ‘Akwaaba’, said his parents did not understand what he was doing because they believed his beats making career will not go far.

“No, you know African parent when it comes to music they are not 100 per cent, so obviously they saw the interest, they saw that I was trying to make beats…but they were telling me no, don’t do this, go and read your books but then the passion was too strong,” he said.

“I had to continue they were just telling me to do what I was doing in school. I was doing social works, and so they were saying ‘just do it’, ‘just do it’,” the producer added.
