What gives you the high: CBD or THC vape juice?

What is happiness to you? The term Happiness is very relative; for some happiness may just be to afford two meals a day, while for others it may be to buy a brand new Ferrari. For millions today, happiness is closely linked to Cannabis and the “high” it gives.

People, who are not fully aware of this fabulous plant and its uses, often use the words Cannabis, CBD and THC interchangeably, but the truth is, they are all separate and serve different purposes. Cannabis is a plant and is considered one of the safest intoxicating substances today. CBD (Cannabidiol) is an active ingredient in Cannabis which offers a wide range of medical benefits. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the chemical, which gives you the high!

With different states allowing Cannabis use for medical purposes, CBD vape juice are fast penetrating the medical drug market. Many users are apprehensive of the “high” CBD may give the user, but the truth is CBD does not get you high. CBD products offer several health benefits, especially to people suffering from chronic pains and inflammations.

If you are looking for pure fun and an awesome “high”, THC is the solution. THC products are available in markets where Cannabis use for leisure is allowed by the state. THC comes in different forms but the latest trend of THC Vape Juice is fast replacing all other forms of marijuana usage. THC Vape juiceis available in pre filled vape cartridges and can also be handcrafted at home to give a more customized high.

Researchers have identified two receptors in the human body that respond to cannabis; CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are found in the central nervous system, while CB2 receptors are prominent in the peripheral nervous system. THC binds with CB1 receptors to give a more psychoactive effect because they affect the brain and spinal cord. CBD, on the other hand, affects CB2 receptors, reducing inflammation, without giving you a high.

In states where cannabis is only allowed for medical purposes, the CBD products cannot contain more than 0.3 percent THC content. However, if the law of your land allows you to consume cannabis for leisure, then you have the luxury to enjoy the combination of CBD and THC according to your liking and tastes. In many cannabis products that combine the two, CBD does the balancing act. The ratio of CBD to THC defines the “high” you get; the higher the CBD, the less high you get and vice versa.

However, the role of CBD is not restricted to just the balancing, it can also enhance THC’s positive effects. For example, CBD can enhance THC induced pain relief. One product offering pain relief and a desired “high”, does it get any better than that?

It actually gets better and better. If you are allowed to consume cannabis for leisure, you can add terpenes to your homemade THC Vape Juice. Terpenes are oils found in plants, with a strong odor. Terpenes define the kind of high you will get; from a relaxing high to a more alert spurt of imagination. On the other hand, diluents allow you to control the consistency of your vape juice. If you need a thickener terpenes consistency just add more diluent to the concentrate and if you prefer a more liquidy consistency just reduce the number of diluents.

It can safely be concluded that it is not CBD but THC which gives you the high. CBD does not activate the CB1 receptor which gives the intoxicating effect. On the contrary, CBD restricts the “high” provided by THC. Users who are apprehensive of the “high” do not need to worry anymore when consuming CBD products and people who want the high, THC is ready and available to take you places.
