The 2012 edition of the Miss Malaika Ghana reality series select its 10 final delegates on Friday August 17 at a highly anticipated mini-finale. Scheduled to come off at the GH-One Studios in Accra, the mini-finale will be the last stop for 10 of the 20 delegates who have been going through the coveted  ‘Maliaka Finishing School’. The finishing school, which is one of the new additions to this year’s series, saw the 20 delegates taking part in several educational and grooming sessionsis most essential because the Malaika Queen becomes an instant public figure who could be called upon to give an address at any time. They were also taken through personal grooming lessons and social etiquette by Kay Bentsi-Enchill while Abrantie and Praba cosmetics took the ladies through sessions on hair and make-up applications among others. Hamamat Montia, who since her winning Miss Malaika 2006 launched a very successful international modeling career, spent some good quality time teaching the ladies some runway skills to ensure they place their best foot forward at the semi-finals on Friday. The lessons were topped off with a visit by some past Malaika Queens who spoke to the ladies on what to expect as a Queen and how to carry one’s self in public. Sponsored by Lux beauty soap, KIA by Rana Motors, UB hair relaxer, Air Namibia Dark &Lovely body lotion, the 20 delegates who will be competing for the top spots are: Ama Ampofo, Rashida Ibrahim, Regina Anne V-Helvert, Anita Bukky Olu, Sonia Leeyen, Eunice Anani and Emmanuella Enyonam Dotse.
