Popular Ghanaian YouTuber, Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, popularly known as Wode Maya is loved by many and has received hundreds of gifts from strangers in his many travels.

Therefore, it is no surprising that he received a two-bedroom apartment from his “Kenyan Mom” as a wedding gift.

Wode Maya recently tied the knot with his longtime Kenyan girlfriend, Trudy and has revealed that his “Kenyan Mom,” Mama Mutoni as he affectionally calls her, who is the owner of Reyata Services Apartments, gifted him and his wife with a two-bedroom and one bed-room apartment respectively.

In a YouTube video that captures every moment from their wedding, Wode Maya is seen taking a tour of the building with the Founder of the Mwale Medical and Technology City in Kenya, Julius Mwale.

“This is your unit now and you can finish it to your liking,” Mr Mwale told Wode Maya to which he responded; “What do you mean it’s my unit now? Is it for rent or something?”

“No, you own this now. This is a gift to you for coming to Kenya as an in-law from this community,” Mr Mwale answered a bewildered Wode Maya.

Later on in the video, Wode Maya who in the past says he got a lot of hate from Kenyans is heard saying;

“As a wedding gift, I received a two-bedroom apartment from a Kenyan; and his wife Trudy also responded; “and I received a one-bedroom apartment.”
