YOLO Star Drogba launches GoFundMe campaign to Raise $280K for Medical Care Overseas
Embattled Ghanaian actor, John Bredu Peasah, otherwise known as Drogba from the popular TV Series YOLO , has initiated a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $280,000 for medical treatment abroad.
It will be recalled that in March 2024, Drogba was diagnosed with demyelination and has been undergoing ongoing treatment for the condition. He is now preparing to continue his treatment overseas and is appealing for assistance from his fans and the general public.
In an Instagram post sighted by Ameyaw Debrah Media on Wednesday, August 14, the thespian expressed his gratitude to Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia who paid him a visit and supported him with cash, as well as his friends for their contributions and support.

Nevertheless in the post, he mentioned that the high costs associated with his treatment have significantly drained his financial resources, prompting him to seek additional funding for his medical care outside the country.
The embattled actor further made a heartfelt request for public support to help cover expenses related to hospital admission, medical treatment, IVIG therapy, which is notably costly and plasma exchange.
It is worth noting that just a few days prior, Drogba revealed that his health issues have also led to the development of Sleep Apnea Syndrome, for which he has been prescribed a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine to assist with his breathing during sleep.
