Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has in a letter through his lawyers, asked veteran musician Gyedu-Blay Ambolley to retract defamatory statement made against him or face legal redress.
According to the letter posted on Okyeame Kwame’s Instagram page, Mr Ambolley made derogatory statements about Okyeame Kwame during a live Interview on TV3.
Mr Ambolley alleged that Okyeame Kwame was loaned GHC 50,000 by the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana to which he failed to pay back.
Okyeame Kwame and his lawyers insist the claim by Mr Ambolley is false and have since taken action by asking for a withdrawal of the statement through the medium in which he made them.
The suit states that Mr Ambolley has 72 hours to withdraw the statement or face legal action.

I will like to tell my business partners, stakeholders and my fans that Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has perpetrated untrue fabricated lies about my character and reputation. However, my lawyers are handling it. Thank you all for the support. It is my honest prayer that Gyedu Blay Ambolley, will do the needful which includes but not limited to due diligence, retraction and apology before the 72 hour duration given him. I hope this scripture will not be true in his case (Proverbs 16:18)😊. Hopefully, this will not be a case study for testing the law of the land.
