Throwback: We started the fan base movement in Ghana- Sarkodie
Having a strong fan base is very important for artistes all over the world.
And in the past years, some Ghanaian artistes have been able to carve strong fan bases in the vicinities they were brought up in.
Notable among them is the “Shatta Movement” fan base for Shatta Wale, “Bhim Nation” for Stonebwoy and “Sark Nation” for Sarkodie.
In a throwback interview with Kobby Kyei, Sarkodie revealed that he is the originator of the “fan base movement” in Ghana.
“We started, we started the following but people don’t know that. The thing is sometimes we need to set the record straight. If you are doing your checks, if you want to argue go to Twitter to check the date Team Sarkodie was created. I’m not comparing it to Ghana, I’m comparing it to world,” he said.
According to him, it was Nigeria’s Wizkid who drew his attention to it.
