Perez Musik also writes to reflect his journey thus far:
Growing up we are always told to learn hard so we can get a good job, I believed it, I also heard that its always best to do what you love, I believed that too, the dilemma was finding something that I loved doing that was also rewarding.
I know so many people out here who are working hard at things they don’t genuinely love just so they can take care of themselves andtheir families; that is why I consider myself exceptionally blessed by God to be able to do what I love full time as a Musician and a Music Producer.
Music is not only a career to me, its an expression of my passion. Every time I release a song its like I am opening up a new part of my spirit, all my songs are lessons to me and I sincerely hope it reaches out to other people in the same way.
Suddenly is my new banger, when I first heard the finished version I reacted like I just heard it for the first time, the beat was popping like we say and the everything about the song just made me warm.
I am very grateful to God, His amazing love is the inspiration and motivation behind Suddenly; most people will agree that He doesn’t act immediately most of the time but for sure He will act Suddenly in the right time!
The VGMAs nominee jam in Ho! That was an enlighteningexperience, I felt like flying when I got on stage. The people were open and the atmosphere was charged, I felt the Spirit God and He just used the opportunity to minister to so many different kinds of people. I was humbled by His work that night and I will remember it for a very long time.
We need to start improving our game as gospel artistes so more people CHOOSE our music for their homes; to be in their earphones and to be the music they reach for whether they want to jam or be inspired.
From the days of John, the Baptist, the Kingdom of God sufferethviolence, we must start being violently excellent in the kind of music we put out as gospel musicians, we shouldn’t expect special treatment just because we put Jesus in our songs; God gave us a talent, and He also gave us the best Talent manager in the universe, the Holy Spirit. It is our duty to work hard on it with the Holy Spiritand sharpen our talents so we produce only the best sound to give Him more glory.
A song for you is a simple reminder that God is faithful, no matter how long you have been struggling remember He might not show up when you want but suddenly He will show up when you need it most. Just never give up on yourself because God cannot give up on you, His love won’t let Him.
