Adekunle Gold and Audiomack Announce Winners Of The “5 Star” Open Verse Challenge

Nigerian superstar, Adekunle Gold has announced the winners of the recently concluded “5 Star” Open Verse Challenge held in collaboration with Audiomack.

The competition which was designed to provide a platform for up-and-coming artists required rising artists to deliver their renditions of the hit single ‘5 star’ by downloading the 5 Star open verse version directly from Audiomack World and submitting their versions by uploading it to the Audiomack app using the tag #My5StarStory. During the entry period of August 10th to 24th, over 800 entries were received from across the continent for a chance to be discovered by millions of people on Audiomack alongside home studio gear, a top 20 trending placement on Audiomack, an editorial playlist feature on Audiomack as well as a push notification to their winning entry to all of their Audiomack followers.

Following evaluation of the entries, Adekunle Gold announced Genie KG as the winner of the competition while Chris Tonye and Eddievybes emerged as the first and second runners up respectively. According to his recent Instagram post, he said “Was so hard to pick a winner for #My5StarStory open verse challenge. So myself and Audiomack picked 3 winners. The 1st winner wins a new home studio gear and marketing support, while the runner-ups win marketing support. Thank you to everyone that took time to drop their vibes. 5Star is our song!”.
