Afrofuture and The Continent Live Launch 2024 Rising Star Challenge to Discover Africa’s Next Music Icons

Afrofuture is excited to announce the launch of the Afrofuture Rising Star Challenge 2024, a talent competition designed to discover and elevate the continent’s brightest emerging artists.

This year’s challenge, in partnership with The Continent Live, offers aspiring musicians an unparalleled opportunity to gain visibility, showcase their talent, and connect with top industry professionals.

Over the past year, The Continent Live has become a cornerstone for nurturing emerging talent, having led several impactful initiatives in Ghana. From Music Business Training Programs to Mixing & Mastering Courses, The Continent Live has been deeply invested in building Africa’s music ecosystem. This partnership with Afrofuture represents a natural evolution of that journey, as both brands share a vision of empowering young creatives and spotlighting the next wave of African stars.

The Rising Star Challenge has steadily grown since its inception, with hundreds of talented artists from across Africa participating each year. This program has also been instrumental in promoting women in music, with an array of success stories emerging from past winners like Bleau and Ess the Legend. As we gear up for 2024, we anticipate even more talent to shine through, making this the most exciting edition yet.

At its core, Afrofuture and The Continent Live are committed to fostering a thriving creative community, and this challenge represents an incredible opportunity to amplify the voices of Africa’s future music legends.

Challenge Details:

The Afrofuture Rising Star Challenge 2024 will officially launch on October 3, 2024, with applications open until October 17. T o enter, participants are required to complete an application form and upload a 60-second performance video on Instagram, tagging @afrofuturerisingstar, @afrofuture, and @thecontinentlive, using the hashtag #AFRisingStar24.

The Top 10 contestants will be chosen based on their reposts and audience engagement across social platforms. The top 5 finalists will participate in an exclusive writing camp where they will collaborate with prominent artists and producers.

The grand winner will receive the chance to perform live at Culture Jam 2024, a cash prize to support their musical career. The winner will also benefit from year-long support and mentorship from industry experts within Afrofuture and TCL’s network to help refine their artistry, performance, and brand.How to Enter:
