Akwaboah makes a case for posting “successes and wins” on social media in new song ‘Picture’

Award-winning Ghanaian highlife musician, Akwaboah is encouraging people to share their most precious moments on social media.

Although there’s a large group of people preach against showing off too much of your life and success on social media, Akwaboah thinks different.

According to the “Posti Me” hitmaker, posting success and wins on social media is sometimes just a show of gratitude, and not to show off.

“Those memories, sometimes when you post them on social and stuff, it’s not because you are trying to show off. You had a new job, you bought your first car, and you just gave birth for the first time. Some say it’s not good. But you are posting because you are grateful for having something for the first time. It’s not because you are trying to show off,” he explained during an interview on TV3.

Akwaboah, who is out with a new single, “Picture” featuring rapper Medikal, is using the song encourage his fans to post a picture and show gratitude for their first time wins.

“So this is you posting a picture of something that you have for the first time, and people are criticising you for what you have. But this is something that you’ve done for the first time, and you want to let people know that you are good with this and happy about it. So post your picture,” he stated.

“Picture” featuring Medikal is currently out on all streaming platforms, and hey, Akwaboah is encouraging everyone to take part in the #PictureChallenge.
