Beauty Queens Launch Peace Call with Tree Planting In School

<![CDATA[In efforts to contributing to the call for peace in the country, two queens of the Ghana’s Most Beautiful fame and other purposeful ladies have launched the Beauty Peace Call programme in Tema. The Beauty Peace Call is a programme designed to advocate for responsible campaigning and behaviour for political groups, individuals and the citizenry. Sarah Adoley Addo and Lamisi Sam Awinongya both crowned ultimate queens for year 2008 and 2009 respectively together with Napaa Huzeimat Alhassan and Anny Araba Praba Adams all of the Ghana’s Most Beautiful fame planted a tree each to kick start their peace call campaign. The purposeful ladies took turn to address the pupils and teachers of the Community 7 /1 &2 Primary and Junior High schools in Tema. They urged the audience to adopt responsible behaviour, to appreciate the sense of time in their daily activities and become peace ambassadors in their area of influence. The Coordinator of the Beauty Peace Call programme, Robert Kwami Amiteye in his turn said that, promoting the rights and responsibilities of the people from an early stage in life is vital to the peace and development of the nation. He called on all to show respect for each other and dream big with actions to contribute to the overall development of Ghana. He emphasized that the peace call agenda is a collective responsibility and it must begin with us as citizens to sustain it.]]>
