Beyonce joins list of performers at Alicia Keys’ gala to honour Oprah Winfrey and Angélique Kidjo

<![CDATA[It’s going to be a ladies night as Beyonce and Carole King join Oprah Winfrey and Alicia Keys at Keys’ annual Black Ball event. Beyonce and King will perform at the fundraising gala for Keys’ charity,’ Keep a Child Alive’ on November 1 at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. The night will honor Oprah Winfrey and Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo for their philanthropic efforts. Keys, Kidjo and rock group Alabama Shakes will also perform.  The ceremony will be hosted by Whoopi Goldberg. In a statement Keys comments on the stellar lineup: “women will be rocking the house this year.” Keep a Child Alive assists people affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India and it was launched by the R&B singer in 2003.]]>
