Black Sherif awarded Best Hip-Hop Act at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival

Ghanaian superstar, Black Sherif has won the reputable Hip Hop Act of the year at the 2023 edition of the Soundcity MVP Awards festival.

The event was held at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, Nigeria.

The 21- year old won with his international hit, ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ and beat over tough competition from artists like Khaligragh Jones from Kenya, Nasty C and AKA from South Africa, Blaqbones and Ladipoe from Nigeria.

Black Sherif released his highly anticipated album, ‘‘The villain I never was’’ in October last year and has since received positive reviews from a wide range of digital streaming platforms.

His distinctive fusion of highlife, Afrobeats and trap has led to the emergence of a huge fan base.
