Media personality Bridget Otoo has shared her narrow escape from some car snatching syndicate who tried to snatch her car on the Tema Motorway.

According to Bridget Otoo, she was driving on the highway with her 7-year-old niece on the Tema motorway when a black Hyundai car behind her kept signalling her about her tire.

The Metro TV journalist states that she ignored the caution about her car and kept on driving.

“I just escaped a car-snatching syndicate on the motorway … It didn’t even occur to me they were trying to steal the car. Maybe my niece in the car saved me. Black Hyundai Elantra with 3 guys, one is dressed as a mechanic. Please be careful. Will share the story later.

‘‘Let me share how a black Hyundai tried to snatch a silver Hyundai, I’m driving on the Tema – Accra side of the motorway with my 7-year-old nice and a black Hyundai kept signalling me to stop and pointing towards my tire. I’m in the speed lane and naturally I kept driving,’’ Bridget tweeted.

She further described how one of the men in the car disguised himself as a mechanic, went under the car and brought out a sticky object indicating that there was a leakage and how those three men asked her to drive behind to their own mechanic shop but upon sensing something fishy, she ignored them.

‘‘Two guys got down and the third guy stayed in the car, I didn’t even utter a word and the one dressed as mechanic went under the car and came out with a sticky dark substance on his hands and said that’s what he saw, he went under the car about three times and each time he came out with that sticky black substance,’’ she further stated.

Bridget adds that ignored the advice by the supposed mechanic to follow them to their workshop, and that’s how she escaped what could have been a car syndicate.
