Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, September 21, 2024, the ‘Nation’s Worshipper’ opined that these practices are not sinful, urging Christians to stop using religion to intimidate others over lifestyle choices.

Brother Sammy further emphasized that while many people pray for financial breakthroughs, they often ignore betting as a legitimate way to earn quick income. He also called out the hypocrisy of some pastors who criticize betting but allow their children to participate in American lotteries.

Though he has never staked lotto himself, the gospel singer said: “I wouldn’t preach against it,” noting that he knows someone who has contributed to building churches from their betting earnings.

The ‘Nyame Nhyira’ hitmaker also criticized the way churches treat individuals with tattoos and piercings, stating that such judgments are unfair.

“Even when boys with tattoos and piercings enter churches, they look at them with judgmental eyes. It’s not fair. They judge Rastafarians but allow women to wear weaves and synthetic hair,” he remarked, highlighting the inconsistency in how society judges people based on their appearance.

Brother Sammy made it clear that he rejects societal norms that restrict personal freedom and will continue to express his views on wealth creation and personal appearance, staying true to his own beliefs and values.
