American singer, Demi Lovato has deactivated her Twitter following a backlash over a tweet about 21 Savage memes which she said she enjoyed.

“So far 21 Savage memes have been my favorite part of the Super Bowl,” Lovato wrote after the rapper was reportedly detained by ICE, revealing that he’s British.

There was a lot of backlash from fans and celebrities alike who criticized her for laughing at another person’s misfortune. According to some fans, they all stuck by her when she overdosed last year.

Demi Lovato however tried to argue that she was only laughing at the memes which suggested that 21 Savage was apparently secretly British.

21 Savage was reportedly picked up earlier in the day while in Atlanta, because his 2005 Visa had expired. And because he was convicted of drug charges in 2014, he is reportedly being held for removal proceedings, though his legal team is fighting this.
