Multiple award-winning Nigerian Music star, Tiwa Savage, has advised single ladies to date men who are willing to spend lavishly on them.

According to her, ladies should date men who are willing to shower them with lavish gifts and experiences, adding that it’s better to shed tears over luxurious possessions than over heartbreak.

The ‘Malo’ hitmaker, who is known privately as Tiwatope Savage-Balogun was quick to add that she was not in anyway endorsing or encourage prostitution or materialism but was communicating the importance of financial compatibility and enjoying the fruits of one’s labor. She emphasized that women should enjoy the luxuries and gifts that come with dating, without necessarily engaging in activities like “runs” (pursuing someone solely for financial gain) or prostitution.

In a viral video sighted by Ameyaw Debrah Media, the renowned singer was seen on stage saying,

‘‘I am not encouraging runs, I am not saying you should go after a man for his money. I am just saying it is sweet when he wants to spend his money on you.”

She added that , “They will still break your heart anyways. So, it is better for you to cry with your Christian Doir, and your Birkin bag and your private jet to Dubai. We have our own money , we are just saying, his money is important and must be eaten.”
