Dr Cryme, the headlining act for the maiden edition of the Radio and TV Personality Awards did not disappoint at the ceremony held at the State Banquet Hall on June 25.  He managed to pull the crowd off their seats after various awards had been handed out.  The forefront was filled with fans who had to wait till the end of the programme to see the Tema-based rapper perform.

Dr Cryme’s performed his latest song “Fre Me” for the first time ever at the ceremony, and it was well received due to its interactive nature. His hit song,”Kill Me Shy” couldn’t have been left out and the crowd enjoyed it accordingly. The rapper is set to start his album festival from July and will incorporate seminars, donations, corporate brand launch, autograph sessions and more. He will soon release two new singles “Command” and “Ekaa Kitikiti” before his official performance at Akwaaba UKs party in the Park to be held in London, in August..

Meanwhile the Radio and TV Personality Awards saw 26 deserving journalists or broadcasters awarded in the Competitive Category, 6 in the Non-Competitive category whiles 8 received Honorary Awards for outstanding contribution towards the development of Radio and Television in Ghana. Several personalities in the radio and television industry including the CEOs of Peace FM, Osei Kwame Despite, Crystal TV, Chief Crystal, TV Africa, Kwaw Ansah, TV3, Syad Ahmad Zayed Director of TV (GBC), Moses Gyapong and Multimedia Broadcasting, Kwesi Twum, were all honored at the maiden edition of the awards ceremony which the organizers are promising will be an annual event.
