Dreamville rapper and global star, Bas has released his newest single “Khartoum” featuring acclaimed Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold LISTEN HERE. Bas, who is of Sudanese descent, rushed to release the song to highlight the ongoing conflict in his ancestral homeland, Sudan, while bringing about attention to plight across the globe currently. Speaking on the release, Bas shares… “’Khartoum’ is more than a song; it’s a message, a call to action, and a plea for global awareness.”
Often left out of the news narrative, Bas wrote “Khartoum” to spotlight the current Sudanese civil war and the displacement of over five million Sudanese people. On the track, Bas masterfully raps about his inner conflict and reflects on his diaspora experience while pledging to do better — a theme consistent with the title of his newest album — We Only Talk About Real Shit When We’re Fucked Up — out later this year.
