| GRAMMY-nominated ATL rap duo EARTHGANG have joined forces with Southern hip-hop icon T-Pain for their new single “Love You More” — out now via UnitedMasters. The track is the first offering from their forthcoming LP Perfect Fantasy, out later this month on October 29th. A melodic, energetic outing rooted in an infectious hook courtesy of T-Pain, “Love You More” marks EARTHGANG‘s first collaboration with the R&B heavyweight since 2019’s “Tequila”. Heavily inspired by Japanese culture, Perfect Fantasy is the next chapter in the duo’s experimental EARTHGANG VS. The Algorithmseries following the release of futuristic ROBOPHOBIA EP earlier this year, which included features from Snoop Dogg, Spillage Village, and Tommy Newport. A conceptual project that explores the effects of AI on society, Perfect Fantasy finds EARTHGANG questioning the ways advanced technologies are consuming our lives and dreaming of an alternate universe where humans could live more freely. The LP is the latest chapter in what has been a strong year for EARTHGANG, who recently shared their Snakehips collab EP, SNAKEGANG, this summer.
Since signing to J. Cole‘s Dreamville Records in 2017, EARTHGANG have emerged as the contemporary torchbearers of Afrofuturism, continuing to redefine what’s possible in hip-hop by blending sounds that challenge the status quo. After debuting on the Billboard charts with their 2019 album Mirrorland (#22 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart), the duo have gone on to receive GRAMMY nominations for two of their songs — Best Rap Performance for “Down Bad” featuring J. Cole, JID, Bas & Young Nudy(400M+ Streams) and Best R&B Song for “Collide” with Tiana Major9 (100M+ Streams) off the Queen & Slim Soundtrack. Winning the BET Award for Best Duo Or Group in 2022, EARTHGANG have maintained their momentum with impactful cultural moments, like creating their single “Swing” featuring Benji (35M+ Streams) for Marvel‘s Spider Man 2 and a partnership with Nike for their ESSENTIALS campaign.
