A 20 year second year student of the Central University College, Elorm Anyadi  was recently adjudged winner of the maiden edition of the Male Icon Ghana intellectual at a ceremony at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

Dubbed ‘the search for the perfect gentleman’, the four-round finale saw all nine delegates do a presentation about their encounters with their celebrity mentors after which they answered questions from the, actress and entrepreneur, Ebi Bright.    A talent segment and a fashion show dubbed ‘cover boy’ tested delegate’s creativity, fashion and dress sense respectively after which the finalists were reduced to five.

The Top 5 included Elorm Anyadi of Central University, Mosore Mosorezor of the University of Ghana, Sylvanus Bedzrah, a writer, Anthony Woode, an Actor and Adu Gyamfi Jr. of Takoradi Polytechnic. The finalist then had to convince the audience and judges why they should be adjudged the winner of the competition. At the end of it all, it Elorm seemed to have captured the attention of the judges and audience alike and thus declared winner. He was followed by Sylvanus and Mosore as the first and second runners up respectively.

Special awards like male photogenic went to Anthony Woode, male eloquence to Sylvanus and male personality to Elorm. The winner of male Icon Ghana 2011 assumes the role of a youth ambassador for the BCS ‘Good Life- live it well’ campaign and takes home a brand new laptop, a monthly allowance, free supply of official clothing for a year, TV appearances and a lifetime of memories.

There finale also saw performances from Aroma, Palo and Nelson Narh.
