This year’s festival promises an incredible week-long celebration of Jamaican culture, featuring an array of exciting events, authentic Jamaican cuisine, and captivating performances.

Kicking off the festivities, JamRock Restaurant will be hosting a tantalizing Restaurant Week from July 31st to August 6th. Guests will have the opportunity to savour a special menu featuring iconic Jamaican dishes, allowing them to indulge in the rich culinary heritage of the island starting at 100gh. Notably, Jamaican cuisine shares remarkable similarities with the flavours and spices found in Ghanaian food, making it a unique and exciting experience for attendees.

As part of the festival, Tuesday, August 1st, will feature engaging discussions from African Academics, focusing on the use of local languages and their structures. This thought-provoking session aims to foster a deeper understanding of linguistic diversity and cultural preservation, drawing parallels between the language traditions of Jamaica and Ghana.

Wednesday, August 2nd, promises an extraordinary evening titled “Fashion, Sax & Wine,” featuring the captivating presentation of Kalthan Clothing by the talented @kevoyb. This event combines the vibrant world of fashion with live saxophone melodies and perfectly paired fine wines. Prepare to be enthralled by the fusion of style, music, and culinary delights.

Thursday, August 3rd, will ignite the dancefloor with a high-energy Retro Dancehall party. This event will transport attendees to the infectious beats of the dancehall era, creating an electrifying atmosphere that celebrates Jamaican music and culture.

Friday, August 4th, brings the magic of Live Reggae Night, where talented reggae artists will take the stage to serenade the audience with soul-stirring melodies and timeless classics. Experience the heart and soul of reggae music, uniting people in a celebration of unity, love, and positive vibes.

Saturday, August 5th, invites guests to enjoy an unforgettable evening of Highlife music and a delectable buffet. ALL YOU CAN MEAT gives us a fusion of Jamaican and Ghanaian culinary influences and will provide a memorable experience, showcasing the shared vibrancy and flavours of both cultures.

Concluding the festivities, Sunday, August 6th, will host a vibrant food fair, offering a tantalizing array of Jamaican dishes. This food fair allows attendees to explore the diverse and mouthwatering flavours of Jamaica, creating a delightful experience for all.

Last year’s festival, featuring legendary reggae singer Eric Donaldson and local dancehall champion Epixode, captivated audiences and set the stage for this highly anticipated year.
