Fameye receives Ghc25,000 compensation after receiving adulterated fuel

Ghana singer, Fameye has been recompensed with an amount of GHC 25,000 for damages after a fuel station filled his car tank with adulterated fuel.

A couple of weeks ago, the highlife crooner took to social media and resentfully lamented about how his Honda Pilot 2019 model car got faulty after a fuel station gave him fuel mixed with water.

In a tweet on Wednesday, 15th March, 2023, Fameye disclosed how he spent GHC 7,000 to repair his damaged car which remained faulty after he got the adulterated fuel.

“So few days ago ,I go buy fuel for one fuel station ,700 cedis,the rest is heart breaking They filled my tank with water mixed with petrol as I’m talking to you now my car Honda pilot touring 2019 model is spoilt. Spent 7k already still not working!!! What do I do?” His tweet read.

Fameye’s tweet had caught the attention of the National Petroleum Authority who ordered him to disclose details of the company that served him the fuel.

However, Fameye and his crew reportedly declined the NPA’s request to investigate the matter, and instead chose to handle the problem on their own by using social media, the NPA stated in a six-point post on Twitter.

In a recent interview on TV3’s New Day, the “Praise” hitmaker revealed that he has been duly compensated.

“I was compensated with a little money, Ghc 25,000. My car is a very expensive car, Honda pilot,” he said.

Narrating what really happened, Fameye disclosed, “So I had a show at Kumasi on the 12th of March , so on Saturday, I had wanted to go and fill my tank so that at midnight I move with my team because I drive everywhere. So I realized like five minutes after I left the filling station it started jerking, but I don’t know too much about cars so I was wondering why. So I continued driving until the car stopped at a roundabout,” he stated.
