Footballer, Jonathan Mensah to launch charity foundation in Ghana, donates to Royal Seed Orphanage Home

<![CDATA[Ghanaian international footballer, Jonathan Mensah is set to officially unveil his charity foundation, Jonathan Mensah (JOMENS) Foundation The prolific defender who plays for the French Ligue 1 club Evian Thonon Gaillard F.C. has been involved in a number of charity works over the period. The ‘Jonathan Mensah Foundation’ is aimed at providing logistical support, donations and funding to under-privileged institutions and orphanages across the country.  The Foundation, in one of its many charitable works recently donated assorted items and cash to the Royal Seed Orphanage Home, along the Kasoa-Bogwease road. A World Cup winner with the Under-20 National team in 2009 and a current member of the senior national team, the Black Stars – Jonathan Mensah is appreciative of all the support granted him by Ghanaians throughout his career, making it a point to give back to society and especially to the deprived. Preparations are underway to launch the foundation, an event that is sure to witness the presence of a legion of astute footballers, administrators, and Government officials. Jonathan Mensah started his professional career with Ashanti Gold before joining Free State Stars in South Africa in 2009. In January 2010, after joining Udinese, he moved to Spanish club Granada CF on loan before settling  with French Ligue 1 side Evian, signing a four-year contract in July 2011.  ]]>
