Four “Showbiz” personalities who will be contesting in the NDC primaries

Over the last few years, in the history of Ghanaian politics, citizens have witnessed their favourite showbiz personalities transition into politicians.

While some of them have been successful in their quest, others have failed and have stuck with their original careers.

Although some showbiz personalities have had their careers heavily affected with their involvement in politics, it has not slowed down others from trying to participate in the governance of this great nation.

The upcoming 2024 elections will be no different, as a number of known faces in the public sphere, have already announced their decision to run for various seats in the parliament of Ghana.

As the opposition National Democratic Congress make preparations toward their primaries in May ahead of the 2024 elections, about four new entries, all known faces, have picked up forms to contest the party’s primaries.

Below is a list of all the new faces contesting:

  1.  Music and media entrepreneur, Abdullai Abu Sadiq (Baba Sadiq) officially announced his bid to contest the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary primaries. He will be running for the position at the Okaikoi Central Constituency.

2. Fred Nuamah, actor and C.E.O of Ghana Movie Awards has also announced his bid to contest in the NDC parliamentary primaries.

Nuamah is seeking to contest the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary slot for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

 

3. Dr. Kojo Jones, business man and C.E.O of Empire Domus Group has also announced he will be contesting in the NDC primaries.

Dr. Jones will be contesting the Keta Constituency parliamentary seat.

4. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, businesswoman and wife of Keche Andrews has also declared her intention to run for the parliamentary seat of Amenfi Central on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (N.D.C).
