Ghana can boast of only four music stars, unlike Nigeria that has tens- Michael Blackson
America based Ghanaian Comedian and actor, Michael Blackson has stated that there are only four internationally acclaimed stars in Ghana.
According to Blackson, although Nigeria can boast of a lot of superstars, Ghana has just a meagre number.
Blackson made this statement during a discussion on the “Drink Champs” podcast where he announced that Ghanaian rapper, Gambo was now under his “Blackson Management” label.
“Nigeria has all the stars. I could name ten artists from Nigeria; Davido, Tecno, Kizz Dnaiel… On the other hand, Ghana is becoming the Dubai of Africa and we only have four people from Ghana; You think like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, and I’m like let me make that fifth person- that’s Gambo,” Blackson said.
Meanwhile, Blackson has announced that he is now in charge of the management of Gambo.
“Afrobeats is taking over the world. In fact, I’ve started my own management company called Blackson Management. I’ve got one of my first Ghanaian artist here, Gambo, Blackson introduced while beckoning him to “come and and say hello to my guys.”
