Ghana DJ Awards gathers momentum

It seems there would be plenty of innovative spectacles to go around at Ghana DJ Awards 2012, as teasers have already started flying on social media and on TV indicating what revelers would be in for, come October 26 at the National Theatre.  Reports of International models, video babes and DJ’s including DJ Elove and DJ Divalash of South Africa confirming attendance have strongly fueled demand for the show which stems as the first national DJ Awards show in Africa. The gist would be the biggest DJ showdown ever on stage in Ghana which would see amazing performances by the biggest DJ showstoppers in Ghana’s history including Kofi ‘Mixon’ Dixon, Young Joe (Sky Hawks), DJ Andy Dosty, The Woodman, DJ Kwame and others yet to be confirmed. Organizers, Merqury Republic, have also released a list of some headline artistes that would rock the stage at the historic event. Multiple award winning trio, VIP are expected to tell revelers the impact DJs have had in their carrier as well as perform a recorded single never heard on radio specially for the audience. In a bit to give the audience the best of everything, the finest lady dancehall artiste, Kaakie of ‘Too Much’ fame joins the pack which has rap mogul Okyeame Kwame, all female group D3, Twens, Chemphe and RnM. The Daily Guide reports that there would be exclusive performances by Red Bull Night Club DJ of the Year DJ Mic Smith and Sarkodie’s DJ Mensa with a live support DJ set by DJ Rampage. Ghana DJ Awards would also honour one of the country’s most hardworking and dedicated Disk Jockeys who promoted Ghanaian culture through music, as well as skillfully played music to entertain music lovers in Ghana and other parts of the world.]]>
