Ghanaian Broadcasting Icon Godwin Avenorgbor Passes Away
News reaching Ameyaw Debrah Media indicates that veteran Ghanian broadcaster, Godwin Avenorgbor, otherwise known as Big Godwin is dead.
He departed this life on Monday, August 19, 2024, with the specific cause of death currently unknown.
Prior to his passing, Mr. Avenorgbor, affectionately referred to as The Grandmaster, held the position of Director of Communication at the Melcom Group of Companies.
A heartfelt statement shared on the Facebook page of Ghana Television, where he dedicated his career to broadcasting, expressed, “The ‘Grandmaster’ (Godwin Avenorgbor) bows out. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
