Ghanaian playwright Nene Osiedu is set to captivate audiences in Halmstad, Sweden, with the premiere of his play, “Faces.” Following its successful debut at the University of Ghana, Legon, in 2017, the play is making its international debut, promising a blend of laughter, love, and relatable human experiences.

In “Faces,” a captivating romantic comedy, the story unfolds on the night after Lionel and Aseye’s honeymoon. As they anticipate a joyful beginning to their journey as a married couple, a sudden midnight knock throws them into unexpected chaos. Fears of intruders and hidden motives create a wild night of concealed identities and unearthing secrets. Through layers of mystery, laughter, and unforeseen guests, the couple’s bond is tested, redefined, and reinforced. “Faces” delves into the essence of relationships, the power of vulnerability, and the beauty of embracing one another’s true selves. The play features a diverse cast, including four Swedes, a Nigerian, and a Congolese.


The international premiere of “Faces” is scheduled at Dramalogen in Halmstad, Sweden, in collaboration with ABF Halland.
