Over the weekend, whiles following up with events at the beautiful and colourful Oguaa Fetu Afahye on social media; then came a video of a marriage ceremony flooding the FYP and TL.

It was the marriage ceremony of a plus size lady who I read is called Juliana with the AKA Lawyer Juliana. The couple looked ecstatic as they tie the knot. It was a beautiful sight to behold.

Upon seeing it several time on my fyp on tiktok i decided to watch it, since their excitement was infectious. After watching, I don’t know what prompted me to check the comment section.

OMG after reading a few comments, I was gusted, like the title of this article reads; I was mortified. to think that people are this mean and wicked just baffles me.

I read so many spiteful comments trolling them and also attacking the looks of Juliana. At a point, I thought the accounts were for faceless people. But no, these are real people perpetrating such cruelty.

This article is not intended to give energy to the negativity but to tell these vicious trolls it’s only social media that gives them that false sense of validation. In that, their negative comments will get the likes and all the toxic engagement it wants but will not stop the couple from enjoying their union.

I will plead with the family and friends of the couple to help insulate them from all the toxicity. Be pillars of great strength to them. Make them feel your positive energy around them. It can be depressing should any of them read the comments.

Why can’t people be genuinely happy for others? Life is a matter of time; at the right time everything will align. If someone’s blessing shows up early be happy for them. I have used this principle, and it has worked miracles for me.

I clap for others when their time is up and pray to God to grant me double portion of the blessings and God hasn’t disappointed me.

Congratulations Lawyer Juliana and your husband, I wish you the best in your marriage. Like we say in twi, your marriage will be “kra b3 shw3”
