Hans Bekx bags two awards with debut single, ‘Brita Dae’

Afropop Ghanaian singer, Hans Bekx is making waves with his inspirational first single, ‘Brita Dae’ featuring Sarkodie.  The song picked up the Alternative Music and Video of the Year gongs at the just ended 2012 Ghana Gospel Industry Awards. In his acceptance speech he thanked God and the media for making his first single impactful on Ghanaians. “This is just the beginning, I know God has plans to take me places and so I am patiently walking with him. This is a first single, not an album, ‘Brita dae’ single is going places by His grace and I am so thankful to my team for all their hard work. Big up to all the media stake holders holding me down on radio, TV, online and print, I am so grateful to you guys for your hard work and I know one day a reward awaits you.” The 2012 Ghana Gospel Industry Awards saw Selina Boateng taking home the Artiste of the Year Award for her smash hit ‘Minku Meho’, as well as Album of the Year and Song of the Year for her song ‘Minku Meho’. She also won Popular Video of the Year. Other award winners were Adehyemaa for New Artiste of the Year, Hans Bekx for Alternative Gospel Song of the Year and Alternative Gospel Video of the Year, DSP Kofi Sarpong and Celestine for Collaboration of the Year, and Diana Hamilton for Female Vocalist of the Year. Ernest Kwesi Ennin of Media Excel Productions took home the Record Label/Executive Producer of the Year award while Uche of ‘Double Double’ fame was crowned the African Gospel Artiste of the Year. Madam Joyce Aryee was given the Honorary Award of the Year and one of the pioneers and pillars of gospel music, Prof Kofi Abraham received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Nacy, leader of No Tribe, took home the Gospel Producer of the Year and the Gospel Sound Engineer of the Year.]]>
