Hlevi’s Elijah FC setting football standards with minimal resources

Elijah FC from Hlevi-Sogakope in the Volta Region is set to light up the Middle league come this July hosted at WAFA.

The team has played 35 friendly matches in preparation towards the middle league and has lost only 2 of them. These defeats came against Afiadenyigba FC and Trinity Stars of Sokpoe.

Ahead of the Middle league in July, it is worth noting that the team was founded on 22nd March 2022. The team participated in its first gala at Awusakpe nine(9) months after it was founded, lost the finals and emerged second out the 4 teams that participated.

Elijah FC produced the top scorer during the Hlevi-Toklokpo Assembly Member Gala which involved 9 teams and placed 4th. Their striker popularly known as “Gavivina” was the top scorer for the tournament.

Elijah FC hosted the 2023 assembly gala and came second on their home turf at Hlevi during the Easter celebration. Impressively, E-Jah FC topped the South Tongu Division league table after the first round of matches in the 2023/24 season.

Ahead of the middle league matches in July, the team acknowledges some of their sponsors and the entire Hlevi community for their support.

Currently the team is under the tutelage of Coach Weezy Wonder who doubles as the General Manager as well
