The comedian further highlighted the challenges of dealing with public perception and the pressure to conform to others’ expectations. She acknowledged that people often resist change and cling to familiar images, finding comfort in the old version of celebrities.

“I almost regretted coming out to say my truth, because people do not accept change. They are stuck with the old version of you because your old version makes them happy, and comfortable. They are plus size, they’re big, they can relate and it makes them happy. So, when you change they feel like you’ve betrayed them, they can’t accept change,” he said.

Reflecting on her own experience, Real Warri Pikin admitted contemplating whether she should have pretended her transformation was solely due to exercise and slimming teas, rather than undergoing surgery.

While emphasizing that her intention was never to influence others to undergo the same procedure, she appreciated the positive feedback she received. Real Warri Pikin noted that many people found inspiration in her journey and took the initiative to research the surgery themselves.
