Ghanaian pop/folk musician, Wanluv Da Kubolor has revealed that he couldn’t complete his studies as a Computer Science student because he got arrested.
According to the “Toto” singer, he got busted in a high speed chase which led to so many things including ending his education.
Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on the “Atuu” show on UTV, Wanluv revealed how he got into the music scene.
“I studied Computer Science in the University. I didn’t complete though because I was arrested in Texas with my friend for high speed chase. By the time I could settle all my legal fees, there was nothing left for me to pay for my education so I dropped out to pursue music,” he said.
Wanluv also revealed that he got his name “Kubolor” at a concert by Gyedu Blay Ambolley in Los Angeles.
According to him, he was invited to open the show for the high-life legend. The patrons of the concert after listening to his rap, said he was acting like a “Kubolor”. He heard the name and decided to add it to Wanluv.
