Nigerian artist Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spryo has publicly discussed his choice to adopt a celibate lifestyle.

In a recent post on Instagram, the music sensation revealed his internal conflict regarding premarital sexual relations, admitting that although he derived enjoyment from such experiences, he was also plagued by feelings of guilt.

According to the ‘Who is your guy’ hitmaker, through profound contemplation and prayer, he decided to eliminate all influences that could lead him back to that lifestyle.

“Sex felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience,” Spyro captioned a video of his new song ‘My pledge.

“Every time I “FORNICATED” knowing I ain’t married to the person, I feel troubled, like a part of me gets taken right after.

“I struggled for a while but I kept praying for strength and when the time came I disengaged from all lingering connects at the time …it hasn’t been easy especially when I travel and these clean girls begin to get funny around me and promoters never make it easy too but now they know but yea I am keeping this bed for ONE now,” he added.

In his latest song, “My Pledge,” Spyro provides a deeper insight into his journey and the choices he has made, making known his dedication to keeping his bed exclusively for one individual in the future.

Earlier this year, the crooner expressed his desire to marry an attractive partner who loves Jesus, playfully referring to such women as a ‘Jesus’ baddie.’
In an interview with Nigeria’s Hip TV, he said, “My spec is a Jesus’ baddie. That’s my spec: Know God but be a baddie. Don’t be mediocre because you know God. Dress well and speak well. Do those things that bad girls do but do it for your husband alone,” the singer said.
