I Will Welcome A Collaboration With A Secular Artist; I See Nothing Wrong With That -Ceccy Twum

Contemporary Ghanaian gospel singer/Songwriter, Ceccy Abena Ampratwum, known by her stage name Ceccy Twum, has opined that there is nothing wrong with gospel musicians collaborating  with secular artists, adding that she will not hesitate to collaborate with any secular artist if the need arises.

Her statement comes after a section of Ghanaian industry players, most especially those in the gospel music fraternity, raised red flags over such move.

According to the ‘Nhyiraba’ hitmaker, collaboration of that sort helps spread the gospel (word of God)  to those who would have missed it.

Speaking in an interview with Keely-Jade Brewer on Asaase Radio’s Between Hours, the renowned singer stated;

 “I personally dont see anything wrong with a gospel musician collaboration with a secular artist. I dont mind doing a song with a secular musician. When Tasha Cobbs collaborated with Nicki Minaj, I’m sure there were some fans of Nikki that heard the gospel through their song.”

Ceccy further concluded by saying that not all gospel musicians are Christians.

”It will shock you to know that not everyone who does gospel song is a christian,” she added.
