Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2024 elections, John Dramani Mahama, has emphasized his stance against activities of the LGBTQ+ community in Ghana.

The former President of Ghana, at a breakfast meeting with the clergy on Wednesday, January 31st, made his stance on  LGBTQ+ activities clear, stating that he’s against it.

“I am against LGBTQ. I am a member of the Assemblies of God Church, and my faith is against it,” he said.

Mr Mahama, a member of the Assemblies of God Church, added;

“A man is a man, and a woman is a woman. I don’t believe  you can wake up one day and say I feel like I am a woman although I was born a man. Nature created as man and woman and God knew what he was doing when he created us like that, so if you ask me, my personal faith is against it.”
