James Lutterodt of KETASCO laid to rest in solemn ceremony

The final funeral rites for 19-year-old James James Kwabla Edem Lutterodt, one of the fine brains who led Keta Senior High Technical School to the finals of the 2021 edition of the popular National Science and Maths Quiz competition has been held.

On Saturday, September 8th, family, cherished friends and old students of KETASCO gathered with solemn hearts to bid their last farewell to James.

The funeral service was held at Keta Senior High Technical School, where he was a student until his sudden demise.

Sam Okudzeto Ablakwah, the member of Parliament for the North Tongu area was also present to pay his last respects.


James’s death came as a big shock to Ghanaians 2 months ago, when he was pronounced dead as a result of a reported food poisoning.


Before his early demise, James had reportedly gained admission to Howard University in the U.S.A where he was granted full scholarship.

A statue was also unveiled by the school to honor his legacy.
