In a tweet after their defeat, John Dumelo has brought up a concern of his, advocating for the remainder of the Black Stars World Cup Fund, to be used to secure school desks for students who sit on the floor to learn.

“The money supposed to be spent if we had qualified to the next round, can we use it to buy desks for students who still sit on the floor to learn?” he tweeted.

Despite much progress in the Ghanaian educational system, there are thousands of students in deprived communities who still study under sheds and sit on the floor.
