It was all glitz and glamour at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards as stars from the world of music, film, sports, radio and TV came out in style to witness the biggest night for Ghanaian music. Dressed from casual, to elaborate evening gowns, suits and traditional wears, most patrons tried to make a fashion statement that would be captured by Shutterbugs from all over Africa. The ‘swagger boys’, Ruff and Smooth didn’t want to be left out of the shine, so they came out dressed for the occasion; but ‘fashion police’, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) wasn’t so impressed.

The duo stepped out in a dark silver suit similar or same as the one they wore in the video for their hit song, ‘Swagger’. Bullet coordinated his jacket with a dark shirt and a red tie while Akhan wore a white shirt with a black tie. As they got ready for their Yellow carpet interview with host KOD, he quickly brought the group’s attention to the conspicuous brand tags on the sleeves of their jackets. He signaled to them that it was not proper to ‘wear the label’ on a jacket in public and even advised them to pull out the tags. But the group murmured some few words into KOD’s ears and a few seconds later, they all broke into laughter.

Perhaps these suits had to be returned to a certain shop after the ceremony. So the next time you buy a dark silver suit, you may be one of two lucky persons in the whole of Ghana to have one of the suits Ruff and Smooth wore to the 2010 Ghana Music Awards.
