The current member of parliament (MP) for the constituency, Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, retained his seat after he garnered a total number of 486 votes.

Prior to the election, the politician was conviced and self assured that the developmental projects he was spearheading in the constituency would win him the support of the delegates. This, However did not happen, as he even failed to come second in the race.
