Kwame Koda, the Photographer Behind Stonebwoy’s Latest Album Cover, to Exhibit His Artwork This December

Visual artist and music video director Kwame Koda will be exhibiting his artwork this December in a solo show curated by Trybe as part of their Thursday Lates art exhibition series.

Koda, who famously photographed Stonebwoy for his 5th Dimension album cover, will show a collection of his work to an audience of over 100 art enthusiasts on 7th December.

The exhibition, titled Art & Mind III, offers a rare glimpse into the creative mind behind the lens, with the artist presenting ten pieces from his collection. With the orange sun as his muse, Koda invites his audience on a journey toward greatness. Speaking about his work, he said:

“The orange gradient isn’t just a colour for me; it represents an ambition, an audacity to achieve the extraordinary. The sky isn’t the limit; it’s an endless horizon beckoning everyone to aim for the sun, regardless of their aspirations.”

Hailing from Kumasi, Ghana, Kwame Koda discovered his passion for art at a young age, initially honing his skills in photography. His creative journey has taken him across the globe, exhibiting his works in galleries across Europe and the United States. Notable mentions in renowned publications like The Art Momentum x ArtxLagos, Kenga Magazine, and GQ South Africa further underscore his growing influence in the art world.

Aside from his photography career, Koda has carved a distinct niche as a music video director and producer, collaborating with various Ghanaian, Nigerian, and international music artists. His portfolio boasts collaborations with notable names such as Stonebwoy, Not3s, Fameye, Kidi, Wendy Shay and Omah Lay, showcasing his versatility and multifaceted talents across various creative domains.
