Lincoln Community School celebrates vibrant and colourful International Festival Day

The Lincoln Community School (LCS) on Saturday, February 25, held its International Festival Day, at the school’s campus in Abelemkpe.

The International Festival Day is organized by our LCS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in collaboration with the Advancement Office, to honour and celebrate the diversity and globally-mindedness of the school. The theme for the event was “Many threads weave into one fabric, embracing and celebrating our cultural diversity.”

The vibrant and colourful day saw participation from the entire LCS community, which comprises parents, teachers, students, and staff. They celebrated their diversity with a student-led parade of over 60 country flags from around the world, followed by food-tasting and many themed entertainments. It was a day of language learning, games, performances, story-telling, and music-filled activities.

Guests visited various food booths offering home-cooked food from families from different nations.

Lincoln Community School is an international IB world school serving local and international families from 62 different countries of the world. It has been present in Accra for the past 55 years and currently has a roll of 600 students from early childhood to senior secondary school age levels.
