M.anifest Releases New Music Video: "Over and Under"

Ahead of his eagerly anticipated EP, Apae which is set to drop by year’s end, Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has given fans some new visuals. “Over and Under” is a single off his album “Immigrant Chronicles” and features the lyrical wordplay and power packed lines that the reigning best rapper in Ghana and Channel O rated fourth best emcee on the continent is noted for.  “Over and Under” video was directed by Rodney Quarcoo of RQV Photos and Edited by LOVECINÉ FILMS.
The video has M.anifest rapping under water and expresses the challenges M.anifest faced as a young man in Minneapolis. M.anifest who has since relocated to Ghana had this to say about his latest effort.
“I can’t even swim properly so i don’t know how i let Rodney convince me to rap under water; which i discovered too late was almost impossible to do without swallowing a whole river’s worth of water. I’m glad i did it. It was a beautiful challenge and the process somewhat epitomizes what the song itself is about; experiencing many valleys and peaks. I wrote “Over and Under” for catharsis to battle a depressed artist state i found myself in while recording the last album. Budo made that menacingly beautiful beat. Hope you enjoy this departure from the norm.”
