Fans of popular Ghanaian YouTuber, Wode Maya’s have been sending messages across social media for the reinstatement of his YouTube channel which was hacked on Thursday afternoon.

The channel has been changed to “Microstrategy” and has been streaming a fundraiser and live session about cryptocurrency, spearheaded by Michael J. Saylor, an American entrepreneur and business executive. He is the executive chairman and a co-founder of MicroStrategy, a company that provides business intelligence, mobile software, and cloud-based services. Saylor served as MicroStrategy’s chief executive officer from 1989 to 2022.

He authored the 2012 book The Mobile Wave: How Mobile Intelligence Will Change Everything. He is also the sole trustee of Saylor Academy, a provider of free online education. As of 2016, Saylor had been granted 31 patents and had 9 additional applications under review.

According to a Forbes publication, Saylor is worth 1.6 billion dollars.

  • Throughout 2020 he steered Microstrategy’s corporate coffers into bitcoin, using company cash and borrowings to buy 70,784 bitcoins for $1.1 billion.
  • A former rocket scientist, Saylor studied aeronautics and astronautics at MIT on an Air Force scholarship before founding MicroStrategy in 1989.

The popular YouTuber is yet to comment on the matter, however, his followers who have noticed are praying fervently for the channel to be restored. Wode Maya, born Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon is one of the most influential Ghanaian YouTubers. The 32-year-old’s YouTube vlogs promoting the African Continent have made such a huge impact in people’s lives.
