Michy Isn’t a personal friend; my connection with her is solely through media – Medikal

Famed Ghanaian hip-hop artist, Samuel Adu Frimpong, well known in the music circles as Medikal has emphatically stated that the ex-lover of his colleague Shatta Wale, Diamond Michelle Gbagonah, better known as Michy, is not his friend.

According to the ‘Too Risky’ hitmaker, he knows the media personality on the media level but doesn’t know her personally. Speaking with Keely Jade Brewer on Asaase Radio’s Between Hours show, Medikal said, “I don’t know her; we are not friends. I know her on the media level but I don’t know her here personally.”

It will be recalled that popular crooner and Michy have not been on good terms since Michy recently confronted Medikal over some comments he made regarding Shatta’s parenting. Michy took issue with a statement Medikal made claiming that Shatta pays for his son’s school fees, which she disputed.

However, the issue between the two quickly escalated at a blogger’s party on April 29, 2023 with Medikal advising Michy to act responsibly while she was filming him and the latter using an expletive in reference to the rapper.

“The first time I saw Shatta Michy was when Shatta Wale came with her to perform at a show of mine; my second time talking to her was when she had a camera on me talking to me that day. So I was surprised because there was no bad blood between us.”

“But I just overlooked what she did; it wasn’t that deep. If you look at that video, you will realise that I wasn’t aggressive or anything like that because I am a gentleman,” Medikal added.
