<![CDATA[The revamped 10th edition of Miss Malaika starts airing in TV July 29 with the promise of exciting new twists and turns guaranteed to pique the interest of patrons of the beauty reality series. As the series begins airing this Sunday on GH-One Entertainment TV, all fingers are crossed to witness just how much of a difference this season will present. As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations, organisers, switched some aspects of the competition around to maintain the pageant’s position as the leader in pageantry in Ghana. One major changes is that there will be no evictions once the finalists have been chosen. The competition, according to the organisers, will open with 20 semi-finalists who will take part in a stiff semi-final showdown schedule to take place in Kumasi late August. 10 finalists will be chosen from this stage to continue the series. The dreaded evictions will not be a feature at this year’s competition once the final 10 delegates are chose, much to the relief of the delegates and their supporters. All ten finalist will compete week-on-week till the final event slated for late October. The10 Queens; 10 Project theme is another one of the innovations that this year’s competition will feature. The 10 finalists will each undertake a special charity project as part of the competition. The main viewers’ participation this year will be in the selection of the final 10 out of the 20 semi-finalist. Delegates will campaign for votes while patrons can ensure that their favourite delegate makes it into the final list by texting their names to the short code 1757 on all networks. The competition is sponsored by Lux Beauty Soap, Air Namibia, KIA and UB. The rest are Legacy Hotels, Dark & Lovely Body Lotion, ATL, Safina Water, Simbins, Beige Village, Paba Cosmetics, Abrantie and Budget Rent-A-Car Miss Malaika Ghana 2012 will take home a brand new car, an annual salary, cosmetic and an exciting wardrobe fit for a Queen.
